I knew it had been a while since my last blog post...but I was SHOCKED AND APPALLED when I saw that the last time I wrote was January.
Where have I been?! What have I been doing?! (I mean besides: seeing clients, sleeping, hanging out with friends and family, petting my cats, watching TV, doing laundry, going to Zumba, reading, eating, etc...)
Well, what happened was...
I debated using social media for my business for a while. There was a lot to consider. After a very long conversation with myself, I decided to dip my toe in and create a business account on Instagram this past November.
To my surprise, I have really enjoyed it! It's been a great platform for me to express myself *and* I have developed many online connections that have been inspiring and enriching--personally and professionally.
I post there just about every day (give or take) and I suppose the time and creativity that I previously spent writing long blog posts got spread out into the more frequent, short bursts of expression on IG.
But now that I have some months under my belt, I hope to return to posting on my blog more regularly. Stay tuned...
In the meantime, if you aren't on IG, or aren't following me there, I thought I'd share some of my favorite posts from the past few month.
You can select an image below to get a preview of the topic and then click over to see the full IG post. (You don't need an IG account to view.)
If you're interested in more more regular content from me, you can follow me on IG at @fara_tucker_lcsw You can also find all my old posts there.
What to expect if you decide to follow me:
*mini-reflections about things like self-care, boundaries, mindfulness, self-compassion, gratitude, impermanence, authenticity, therapy, etc.
*funny stuff about therapy and life
*poetry, quotes, and song lyrics that I love
*beautiful things (especially flowers...lots and lots of flowers)
*cats (usually mine, always being irresistibly cute)
If you prefer Facebook, I share most of my IG posts to my FB business page as well. You can follow me there...and maybe even see some of my posts (if the FB algorithm allows...).
